Natalie

Natalie Jane is one of my friends that truly despises making art.

But regardless of how she fells about art, I had the pleasure of working on a painting with her. You see it’s her passion to stay away from art, inspired me to work on a collaboration with her.

Recently Natalie had asked me for a painting of Audrey Hepburn on canvas.

And I was completely willing to give her one. But I saw a opportunity unfolding in front of me and I couldn’t resist.

I made a deal with her, that the only way I would agree to paint her something, was if she helped me in the process.

So after 15 minutes of nail pulling agony, arguments, hyperventilations, and screams, Natalie finally agreed to the terms and started drawing.

6 hours later we had a wonderful work of art.

My favorite thing about the painting, was in the end Natalie was able to find joy and not hate creating art.

Portland

is a place where I find rest and relaxation. It is one of my getaways.

Yesterday The Drivers and I, were deep in the heart of the city.

With no purpose to push us, direct us, or tell us what to do, where to go, who to meet, or what to buy.

We wandered streets, bridges, parking garages, elevators, food courts, escalators, stairs, and sidewalks.

Starting out in one part of Portland then ending up on the other as the night went on.

Here is a little glimpse of our visit in words…

I found a Silver sharpie and got to thinking…

Thinking caused me to imagine…

And imagining never ends with a blank page for me…

Meet the gang…

Killingsworth,

Freedom Fighter,

Peppy,

Metal-Man,

Lucha libre,

Grenade,

Black spider,

Santa Muerte,

and Viking King.

Ask me which one I like best, and I will say Killingsworth,

because he was the first.
